WFA policy statements, recommendations and technical documents shall be normally prepared by its Committees. Then, policy statements, recommendations and other technical documents prepared by the Committees shall be submitted to the World Fashion Council for approval after due consultation with the respective WFA National Chapters.


The WFA Chairmanship may, in case of urgency, develop and make public a general policy statement.


  1. The establishment of WFA Committees and the definition of their terms of reference are recommended by the World Fashion Council upon proposal from the President & Chief Executive Officer for approval by the Assembly of Governors. The same procedure shall be followed in case of termination or merger of Committees.

  2. Chairmen of WFA Committees shall be nominated by the World Fashion Council upon the initiative of the President & Chief Executive Officer for renewable terms of two years; they shall be confirmed by the Assembly of Governors and be ex-officio members of the Chairmanship.

  3. The following are entitled to attend the meetings of WFA Committees:

  4. - delegates appointed by WFA National Chapters

  5. - delegates of Special Members approved by World Fashion Council; and

  6. - special guests invited by the President & Chief Executive Officer or Chairmanship.
